Behringer BCR and BCF are in that range, I love my BCR.
Trigger Fingers are ~$200.
you can also control Live with your computer keyboard, check the manual for info.

UC-33? I have a BCR and a UC and would have to say the pots on the UC are way more responsive than the encoders on the BCR.

Has anyone used or got any of the faderfox controllers? If so, are they any good?
I was also looking at a Control Freak controller, anyone shed any light on this?
Cheers

Are some of you using the BCR's knobs as buttons to launch clips? That seems a bit counter-intuitive to me... spinning a knob instead of pressing a button.

The BCR has 20 buttons to use for launching clips per preset, and the top row of 8 encoders function as buttons, too. Toggling between the four encoder groups gives you quick access to 32 buttons, too.
Lotsa buttons for clip launching, and more knobs than you know what to do with!
Just don't drop it or spill beer on it... (done both with my 01V and it's never failed!)

cocatails were splashed over my bcr but it survived
i use bcr's top knob/buttons to trigger fx processors on/off and other on/off settings, but prefer using buttons for clip launching (i use gate setting on live, so i can see visualy on bcr when which clip is on...)

Hi,
I really love my X-Session : it's quite cheap and easy to use. The crossfader is efficient and keep the feeling of a real mixer !
I noticed that many digital DJs use it. So...
