Behringer BCD2000 mac compatibility?

Post by rbmonosylabik » Tue Mar 14, 2006 9:57 am

I'm checking it out, but the manual only says it's compatible with Windows. I'm thinking of getting one to use it as a Live controller, but maybe it will save me some hassle looking somewhere else.

never ever never ever ever ever never buy gear on the promise of a new feature, driver, GUI, application or anything. Gear manufacturers lie constantly, only take their word on what's released.

For example the rant on this page re: edirol are looooosers. The BCR editing software is still at beta and as a .jar file at that!!! Korg hasn't updated the kontrol 49 fer shit in over a year (so I've heard.)

I would be amazed if they were so dumb as to not support Mac, but do not put your money on their empty promises.

what the hell is taking behringer so long to release this thing?

Maybe it's still in CAD, or even worse, drawn on a napkin

I think the software they're providing is windows only....

but if it's a standard USB audio interface and standard midi controller it will work under mac os x with no drivers required...

that's two pretty big if's.... but I might well take the chance on one of these buying it from somewhere that will accept a seven day no questions asked return...

Osx is plug and play with almost anything. Inluding some "generic" MIDI controllers like the BCR.

The editing software doesn't really work on a mac.
But you wont regret learning how to edit it manually.
It's a piece of cake......

do you actually have a BCD2000 hoffman2k? These have been "shipping soon" since Feb 2005..... I'd really like to hear from someone that actually has one.

My bad. BCR.... BCD....
So the editing software for mac is bullocks for the BCR/F. I don't really know about the BCD though.
