should i buy a macbook?
should i buy a macbook?
been doing my consumer research, watching the adamjay test results, trying to do my due dilligence. so i ask:
should i do it now or try to wait out the next form factor? i know the big problem seems to be the lack of software, but live is almost ready, and if you're gonna wait for the other stuff, might as well wait with a great new machine. but what about the actual hardware?
those of you who have one, do you love it? is the hardware living up to expectations?
any info would be much appreciated....

if not maybe it is better to wait for maybe 6 months when the mermons chiosets will be in the new Macs and you could wait till novemeber/december and hopefully leopard will be out with Virtualization chipsets and software enabled
I always say if you dont really need it dont buy it ..
The mermons are already clocking in at faster than the fastest AMD's on benchmark test done independantly. imagaine that in a Notebook computer !

Can't find any info on "mermons"... Where is your source of info?
The question is not whether or not you are influenced, but rather what it is that influences you.

If you need it now, get it. If not, I'd wait.
I'm gonna hang on for the second gen of Mac Book Pros. Hopefully, issues and growing pains will be sorted out by then, they'll be faster, cheaper, and there will be a better selection of ExpressCard peripherals.
Until then, I'm getting stronger carrying around a G5 refrigerator...
