I'm am completely 100% on the bandwagon that the US is/has been morphed into a fascist theocracy, a police state by the government for the elite few run by a religious fundamentalist madman. Karl Rove has examined, disected and learned to control the American psyche, the man's a genious but he should be sterilised, cut up into tiny pieces and launched into the sun. The Nazi comparisons do exist, the Bush family has ties leading to the Nazis, and many of their actions resound of Hitler's rise (for all we know Karl Rove studied those tactics), I fully recognise that.

I'm not suggesting that anyone turn a blind eye to your points.
My point is two-part:
1 - Invoking Nazis dillutes both scenarios, Bush is a diminutive version of Hitler. Overstating Bush weakens your argument against him, exageration generally leads to a loss of credibility. On the flip side, I feel that toning down Hitler by comparing him to Bush makes light of the holocaust.

2 - There's SO much obvious, documented, reoccurring crap the current administration has done I'm more interested in nailing them on their actions, taking them to task and not going off on tangents like Nazis. If we're going to discuss politics, let's form NEW analysis of the situation.

Being on the same side of the issue the best thing we can do is form new ideas to take out into the world that we can present to those who are following Bush. If I were to talk to a conservative about politics and bring up Nazis, their ears would close pretty quickly.

If there's one thing W has taught me is that I've learned what it means to love my country because it pisses me off to no end to watch him fuck it up.

You make good points, by no means am I disagreeing with you.

But do you agree that this Moratorium on the discussion of the Holocaust exists only to create the false impression that NOTHING could POSSIBLY compare to the Holocaust?

I mean, it sort of puts this false importance on an event that in light of Global genocide, wasnt THAT immense!

I am by no means questioning the scale, or magnitude of the holocaust, millions died, and millions more suffered and died in the process....

But Millions died in the Armenian holocaust. You dont see the Armenians trying to convince the world, that it was the WORST, END ALL tragedy...

It really undermines the magnitude of Bush's consolidation of power, to suggest that Nazi comparisons are out of line. I mean, if you look at the larger picture, Bush and this administration is arguably, MORE dangerous, and further down the rabbithole of tyranny than the Nazi's.

Look at Mengele...He experimented on children in secret, he would torture the children of "terrorists" but they had to keep it secret.

WE do it RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN!!! Our officials BRAG about having the RIGHT to mutilate childrens genitals, in the name of co-ercing terrorists into talking.

I mean, for fucks sake, what is it going to take, to open the rest of the nations eyes to the fact that we are all complict in War Crimes?

Its only a matter of time, before WE are made to clean up the bodies of the dead, just as the German citizenry was forced to after the liberation.
