Ableton crashes after loading song

I've got problems with warping certain songs. When i drag them to my sessionview into a track, they start playing by themselves and the system hangs. Normally songs don't start to play but warped first. I have the problem with a couple of songs... strange isn't it?

Hi,

Just for my understanding: you say that you drag a track from Live browser to a track in session view, a track that you've never warped before (like it's the first time you drag that song into Live), and the song starts playing by itself ?

By the way, what computer are you using, and what version of Live ?

you are right... the song are not warped before. Other tracks are working flawless. My computer is a dell 8400 and i've got version 5.0.1. Very strange. I only have problems with certain songs...

I can't see anything strange with the songs... Media player for example isn't having any problems playing it out.

Also, I don't have the "prelisten" button on. Maybe you are aiming at that...

Hi,

First, you should try to update Live to 5.0.3.
Then, are the songs compressed in mp3 ? Do you have quicktime player installed on the computer ? Quicktime generally works better to decompredd mp3 files, and that could be the problem. Try to install Quicktime player and tell me if that solves it.
