Here's what I reckon could happen... the reason Macs are less hassle for technophobic musos is because there is less variation in hardware and so they tend to be easier to set up, troubleshoot and have historically been more stable because of this lack of hardware variation ...mercyplease wrote:thats what im thinking so I dont really see this as a mega revelation. .. so buying a Mac and running Windows on it should guarantee a very stable (due to the limited hardware config) setup. All of Window's problems come from trying to support too many configurations.
People will buy these simply for the same reason they buy dells... it offers some level of stability. Whole companies buy only Dells for example to maintain consistency.
This is a pretty big deal for sure.. I'm now going to try to get my boss to get me a Mac for my laptop machine - and I'll stick OS X on it - this is ace!
