livecut in ableton. live input problem

ok subject probably needed to be clearer.

Problem - I want to use livecut or beatrepeat on a channel with In selected on the monitor because I want a channel I can just play into and effect without recording, but each time I place Livecut in the chain the channel stops outputing sound even though the indicators on the channel and the plug-in show that it is recieving the audio.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Ok, the thing with LIVEcut is, you have to have the play button going. If you do not press the global play button, then it won't work...

As of right now, I have it routed the way you have it, and if LIVE is not playing, then there will be no audio passing through, so just hit the spacebar, and it will work for you.
