Check the Otions -> Preferences settings, there's a setting to let you arm more than one track at a time, check it. There's also one for SOLO that you might want to straighten out while you're there.

i know all that but it just aint picking up the second input (whatever that may be), it will only pick up the guitar

for example

i have armed two tracks to record vocals and guitar at the same time , have it all set up on gerbox and everything, but when i play both tracks only pick up the guitar and not the vocals at all

You should have the lite version of Ableton that comes with that product. Load that baby up!

From Line 6's website:
TonePort even comes with a special version of the popular recording application Ableton Live created for Line 6
If you can verify that you're using Ableton then we can help you out a little more accuately. If not, definitely check and double check and experiment with the Preferences of the audio software you are using.

Okay. Go to Live's preferences. Click on the Audio tab. Click on the Input Config. Make sure you have enabled tracks 1 & 2.

i just read the upgrade instructions. One of the headslines say, that multichannelrecording will be possible with the full version.

So now i have the sugesstion that the live version is not able to record mic and instr. at the same time.

i have the same problem with the version live lite that came with the toneport ux2.

Hi there,
You can record up to 4 mono ins in Live Lite 4 Line 6 edition, but keep in mind the toneport is sending out stereo pairs, so for instance, if you are recording an instrument and mic at the same time, the instrument will be coming in on 1/2, the mic on 3/4.

In preferences - audio - settings -- Input Config

Make sure that 3/4 are on, then, in the in/out section, above your mixer, make sure you have 1/2 selected on one track, and 3/4 selected on a different track. You'll want Monitoring off here as well, as you'll be monitoring through the GearBox software.

Hope that helps,
Jesse
