LIVE 5.2 and dual G4 OS 10.3.9

5.2 crashes when I try to open it... Says something like this:

An error occured while reading bla/bla/preferences.cfg. Apparantly, the document was created by a more recent, and incompatible, version of Live than this. (unknown class "DirectloDevice" not found)

And then it crashes... How can there be a more recent version of Live than 5.2?

Anybody else having this problem??

Please advice!

sounds like ur prefs got corrupted...

01. find the folder in /usr/home/library/preferences/Ableton/. Inside, there should be a folder for each version of live you have installed on the machine. Inside these folders you will find the prefs file, the log file, and crash folder.

02. make a backup, then delete the file. the default prefs should be restored when live launches (it just creates a new one).

Now Im just waiting for it to recognize my plugin folder... Takes a while, huh!?

Could you send me the preferences file from your Live 5.0.3 version (not the one from Live 5.2):
"~/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 5.0.3/Preferences.cfg"
