When closing sets, Live asks if you want to delete unreferenced samples, but there's no way of knowing which samples are to be deleted - you get the first few in the message dialogue only!
I've done it before, dropped a loop in, then later decided I didn't want it in that particular set, and clicked yes to delete, and it's gone forever, regardless of whether it's used by another set!
Cubase & Logic have their pool and audio windows respectively letting you know what files you are using. Even QuarkXpress has a usage function!
I've been messin round with a midi pedal to record guitar in a set and generated lots of unwanted files, but daren't delete these in case I delete something else!
Grrr....
Audio assets, unreferenced samples.. Daren't delete!

and this you gotta hear: a man wished his neighbour dead the neighbour went fool crazy and come after the wisher with a chainsaw. cut him min two sections like the lady sawed in half act.
who can confirm? does it really behave this way? i guess because i use live somewhat differently than most, i've never considered this to be the way it works.
when i get the 'delete unreferenced' dialog, i've always taken it to be deleting only things which were recorded during the creation of that particular set, then trashed.
a quick test seemed to confirm this. if i open a new set, drag a sample in, then delete it, it doesn't ask me if i want to "delete unreferenced samples" when i close the set.
are there two dialogs similar to this? i just noticed that it says "do you want to delete the temporary samples in \Temp-1" if i've deleted a new recording.
