Native intel mac & bug fix update Live 5.2 is online!

Hello Necrophore,

"An error occurred while reading "/Users/steve/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 5.2/Preferences.cfg". Apparently, the document was created with a more recent, and incompatible version of Live than this. [unkown class "DirectIoDevice" found]"

Please send me this "Preferences.cfg" to [email protected].
Afterwards, just remove this file.

Same feaures just with knowed limitaions of ableton lite?

And some alterations/modifications, like the way clips now fire on the 'one' when restarting the sequencer. I think there might have been some other improvements, can't remember.

It does seem nicer in some way though, more solid. That could just be psychological, because to be honest, i've always found L5 to be pretty stable on my setup.

I was thinking that it was odd that there was not a complete change log that I could find. I know that they where squishing buggs but I can only find the change log for the last beta.

Live is such a great product, I have never seen such a well behaving, stable, EXTREMLY well designed, flexible, powerful piece of software, NEVER. It is almost perfect!!!

You really need to get yourself a tablet (like intuos3) and USE Live with a tablet to understand how beautiful this could be. You could OPERATE on your sounds, loops, effects and on the interface. O P E R A T E !!! ARGHHH...

Hello,

Is it O.K. to remove the previous Live 5.x applications once Live 5.2 is installed?
The process on the Mac is to drag the Live 5.2 folder to the hard disk once downloaded. I still have previous Live 5.x folders on my hard drive which don't get removed automatically. I just wanted to be certain that I won't lose anything doing this.

Hi, I upgraded from live lite 5 to full version (5.0.3) last week. I downloaded the 5.2 version following the link from the help menu of the full version. I'm using imac g5 and now when I launch the new 5.2 version of live I get the 5.2 lite edition instead of the full version
