SYNCHING AUDIO AND MIDI - PROPERLY...
Alright, since there's no dumb questions, let me put this one out there (and keep in mind that I'm a Live newbie): What is the best/proper way to get your audio in time with your midi?..Drum tracks, to be precise...I am basically going to play bass and put some drum tracks down on top of that - should I just use the click track and play as closely as I can, then snap the drums to that time signature?..Would it be easier to put the drums down, and THEN try and play the bass audio as closely as I can?..Also, a friend of mine mentioned something called 'shuffle' (not sure which program it's available on, though) - he said it gives midi drums a 'looser, live' feel...Is this available on Ableton, or is there something like that or a technique/procedure I can apply that does the same thing?..I'm going for an instrumental hip-hop kind of vibe, so any pointers that help with that sound are greatly appreciated!...Thanks for your time...Z.
