stylus rmx users - advice needed

im having some trouble recording the multiple outs from stylus into live. i have stylus set up as 8 midi tracks in the session view with the audio from each track routed to it own audio track [again 8 in total]. each audio track has the monitor button set to 'in'. in the session view i can control stylus and the audio tracks no problem. when i record the session into the arrangement the audio tracks are empty. theres only the midi data recorded and the mix automation.

can the audio be recorded this way? or im i missing something simple in the set up?

Hi Nuperspective,

This should work. It sounds like you've set up all the routing both in Live and Stylus.

I don't mean to insult by asking an obvious question but have you record armed the audio tracks in Live?

One point you'll also need to be aware of once you've got this working is the following:

The audio from the aux sends will come out of OUTPUT A no matter what track the loop is actually running on.

bollocks. i just armed the arrangement for recording not the individual audio tracks. ill try that tonight. hopefully this will sort it.

ive got it to work with the record track armed. now theres another problem i record track one. done. the wave form is greyed out. switch monitoring to 'auto' and it colours and you can it play back.

right onto track two. same again. only now when i record to track two, track one is automatically being blanked. whats going on?

any suggestions?

Did you switch record off for track one?

ive recorded track one listened to it and happy with it. move on to track two activate it for recording. start recording. it records track two but wipes track one at the same time. i can only get one track to be active for record at any one time. if ive recorded and switched all record functions off to listen to the track, why is the audio not bumped into the session folder?

Hi mate, you seem to be a bit of an stylus expert

Is it possible to do as above in kit mode? I have it working fine with live 8 in multi mode and can record etc etc but in kit mode ive been scratching me head all day so i can have the indiv. sounds on their own ch in live as in multi mode, any guidance much appreciated or ill have to call Spectrasonics and look even more of a fool!
