Try something clever and funny next time, like sending a letter with a return card that says, "Would you like to have dinner with me? Yes / No" Put two of those cards in the same letter, dated one week apart. Then in your letter, say that you know she'll say No with the first one, but maybe she'll change her mind in a week, so you're just planning ahead.

And if she does agree to dinner, don't take her to Thai food. It's about as bad as taking a native Italian to pizza.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think I should let it go. She wouldn't really understand my music, and I'm pretty tired of dating girls that don't. The sweet industrial/goth chicks have a waiting list of guys in case their current boyfriend doesn't work out though. The single goth/industrial girls I meet that are over 26 that aren't in relationships are pretty much all psycho whores...... sad but true.

Also stalking is nasty, and I'm convinced now my friend is wrong about that whole three to four times BS. I dunno she's probably out of my class though, pretty much every guy I know thinks she's hot, or at least admires her finely sculpted rear end!

Wouldn't dream of taking her to Thai food, that's too silly!
I like you idea about the card though, pretty cute!

Here's a suggestion...go for the older goth chick who's been around the block and is looking for a "real" guy this time. Personally, if I was ever single again, I'd never date anyone under 30.

It's 90% of the population trying to screw 10% of the population.

It's called FUCKING UP, everyone wants to fuck someone better looking than them.

Go for the goth chick then the two of you can keep the Thai chick locked up in your cellar.

If you're thinking about going after a chick but know there's no compatability isn't she just a piece of meat at that point? Not that there's anything wrong with that  ;) <joking>

Dating is so weak - I'm in a relationship but there's one girl I'd give it all up for

so what does that tell you - I don't want to be in my relationship, no

it's just this one girl has it all man...all

my friends think I'm crazy, but am I? Am I? Was Columbus crazy when he set ou to prove the world was round? Was Moses crazy when he parted the Red Sea? Was Walt Disney crazy when he drew Mickey Mouse?

Bro, I hate to tell you this, but they were all considered crazy during their time. I mean look at Charleton Heston playing Moses...doesn't he seem crazy to you?!?!?

But to support your position, yes, dating does suck. I hate that you can't be yourself, and I hate the number of things that are faux pas, and that you get dinged for every little thing.

My wife is perfect for me. Does she have issues? Tons. Do I love her despite them? Of course...in fact I love her because of them. If we were "dating" when I found out about those issues, under most normal situations, I might not have made it past the first few dates. Therefore the entire model is completely flawed.

As for DKF's comments...they are meat, and we (men) are all wild rabid dogs. But after sex, can you hold a decent conversation with any of them? Personally, I'm more of a vegetarian these days.

Also, no one girl has it all....and if she does, she has more than all...she has her fair share of issues too. But there's prolly one girl who has YOUR all, and you need to tap that, yo.

It's a love hate thing - why are so many people involved and why can't this be easy

This "one" reminds me of all the good things about like every girl I've ever dated, plus she's smart and has a lot of style - I told her all this shit like a year ago, but I can't just screw someone else over because of a fleeting wild hair

now, I run into the "one" before one of my gigs - actually I was nervous to play so I was at a bar with a homie chillin' before the show and there she was - we talked for along time and then 'bam' all that shit came back to me

my boy was like dude, she's a nerd and you got a pretty hot girl - then I went into this tailspin of depression, anger, resentment and self loathing - I played really well that night, but drank to much and yelled at some fat girl for putting her arm around me, threw up in my buddies stairwell and woke up on my couch at like noon

but I ran into her again - we're meeting up next week for drinks

The first rule about real love...never listen to a homie with whom you're chillin'. If you do, you can guarantee that "the one" will pass you by.

If this chick makes you go this crazy, dude, GO FOR IT!

This is turning into an episode of a bad talk show. I never understood how someone could go on those talk shows and not expect the worst possible thing...

"Wendy, you know I' brought you on this show to tell you some thing important..."

Wendy is clearly expecting a surprise proposal, right?

"I wanted to tell you that I've secretly been butt-blasting your brother, Ken."

Wendy is devastated.

"There's more..."

Wendy wonders how it could get worse than losing her BF to her brother...

"During butt-blasting, we've also been performing satanic rituals. We're both going to turn into transexuals and join a cult."

Suddenly there's a large table with food...and Wendy starts a food-fight to alleviate her disbelief and aggression.
