I dont need to provide you with links, just google peak oil myth. Im sure that will yield some links. I dont know what, Ive never done it. Ive read articles here and there, but its just more of the same old bullshit. When you take notice of such things, you start to see a pattern, and this is just another
example in a long line of corporate malfeasance. We're living in a fascist state, and once this whole "One world government" thing finishes taking hold, we'll all be in the same shitty, sinking boat.
I took that to mean he believes in it but can't defend it, I should go read about his side of the issue as he's read about from time to time.
then he came back with:
computo wrote:peak oil ISNT real.... its being used to legitamize gouging people. its a fake problem. JUST like the California energy crisis. They claim there isnt enough supply, the demand/price goes up. Its really simple.
Which is wrong because the CA energy crisis was man-made, artificial and a completely controlled event, you might as well blame Nazis.

First of all, if you dont know anything about Enron and the energy powerplay's they pulled for the years before their collapse, then I feel sorry for you. Its the story of corporate corruption, and playing with the numbers, to not only rip off the public,
but to destroy ecomonies.
It is a multi-tiered process, whereby the IMF/World Bank loans a large amount of money to a nation, say argentina. Then when the nation cant pay it back, with the extreme interest incurred, they are forced by the IMF/WB to privatize natural resources, like water power, or oil reserves. There are also population control requirements. Enron, under subsidiaries in some cases, would buy electrical resources, and then claim shortages, to drive up the demand, and the price. The prices of electricity went up 8000% in some cases, and the countrys were still forced to cope with daily power outages (which were/are simply to continue a facade of low supply). A lot of these nations, especially the carribean islands, still have daily outages.
California was the endgame, where they finally brought their method over supply manipulation to the states. CA was to be the first. But because of stupid errors, and greedy idiots in the company who couldnt keep their mouths shut, or fingers pocketed, I suppose, they failed.
If you dont know about this, you dont know US, World or california history of the last 5 years. All this info is verifiable in Greg Palasts book, The Best Democracy money can buy. Hes got copies of the documents from the IMF.
There's your history lesson for the day. and No, I dont have to give you links, you can look it up your damn self. Im not your mommy, nor your librarian, if you care about being fucked in the ass by old white men, then you'll look for yourself.
and Machines... are you implying that the international oil interests are in competition? Do you really think that they arent working together to gouge us? Competition doesnt earn the oil companies record windfall profits, cheating the consumer does.
