yeah man its a pro-one..Now thats a fat ass mfka..the 777 is fat aswell but u have to work it a
little..actually the pro one sounds more fat than the pro-5..i guess its because its a rev.3.1 (diffrent filters)..cheers

are your parents rich.. this question is mostly aimed at the chick that has all that gear.. are you people in major debt?

A good friend of mine has the coolest studio setup. I wish I had a link to some of his studio pics, but I don't. It's a small room, and I am not going to pretend to know everything he has, or even some of it, because I do not have any hardware at the moment and am pretty much a software guy (I am planning on getting a juno from him though).

Anyway, you turn out the lights in the room and it lights up like the bridge of a spaceship. It's a really impressive setup. I asked him the same thing, dude.. how do you afford all of this shit man....

He is about 37 or 38 and bought his first synth when he was like 14. He's been collecting ever since. So there you have it. It' not like he built it all up in a year, or even three. It's something he has been slowly building over a long period of time.

I expect a lot of the people here with loads of gear are the same. I'm sure there are a few rich kids, but whatever gets you there. I would imagine you'd get more out of it by slowly adding pieces over time, as opposed to having like 75k to spend in one shot.

I've decided I want to start collecting some synths, I'm quitting smoking next week and I'm going to treat myself to that juno from my friend. That will be my first piece of hardware and I'll just add on a little bit at a time....

Which Juno is it

I have the Juno 6 and it was my first Hardware piece ....I would show a pic but if you go to myspace you can see some pix ....i say hardware but I've had guitars and amps and pedals for going on 7 years and have collected amps and pedals ever since lovem...But the juno was my first synth ......I collected most of all my Electro Gear starting with Juno 6 and then Powerbook etc.....With my first encounter with http://www.americanmusical.com .....They have Easy Payment Plans with no Interest I was hooked like a drug either 3 months at least $250 or more .....or 5 months at least $1000 or more.....I spent including my few latest purchases through http://www.sweetwater.com with Bill me later but that's a whole new addiction but it occurs interest and that's not good Im trying to overcome this one.....But my gear lust cost me $9 Grand in 1 year all paid for through payment plans no interest expect about $1000 was spent thru Sweetwater.......The hardest part is listening to my Fiancée bitch every other day about it.....

I don't think this one has a built in arp. I am wondering though, do you have any luck using lives arp plug in to control an external synth? I had a jp8000 here on loan for a while, that one had a built in arp and I remember I could not uses lives arp to control midi being sent to the jp 8000.

I had no problem getting midi into it otherwise, but I remember the arp plug having no effect on the jp 800's output. Was I doing something wrong? Arps are cool and I hope to be able to use lives arp to control this juno when I get it!

my roomate had a 106 in 96 and hawked it like a looser

i got a korg poy 61 midi all analog but digital controled osilators (made in 84) in winter 95, just after my r-70

still gives me joy!
i havn't sold anything but old computer gear

not quite the juno ... the sliders on the 106 are slick!

My high school had a Juno 106. I used to play it every chance I got, but I just couldn't make it not sound like Jean Michel Jarre c1985. Maybe I'm a bad programmer... but I really didn't like it.

Yo, I got a 106 and I love it. Only problem is when i turn it off all the patch info goes away. THink the battery is dead? I think so...

i have the M vesion as well...the poly 61 was made in 82. they added midi to make the 61m in 84. i just couldn't find a pic of the 61m.
