How about an implementation of Open Sound Control? I'd love to be able to run Max/MSP on my iBook to send control signals to Live on my PC laptop...

This is on my wishlist too!
Of course realizing the ever-
growing state of the master-
wishlist.

Of course, one may always send
Midi. I'm surprised, actually,
there aren't straight Midi-over-UDP
drivers out there somewhere.
With that I could have my whole
studio (er.. 1 synth and 1 computer)
networked.

i'm asking OSC support for Ableton Live since september 1945.

it would be so nice if every parameter had its own OSC namespace (eg. /Live/Track1Audio/AutoFilter/Frequency ). it would be controllable from another software or a network of computers or a dedicated hardware device (such as the ultraexpensive Lemur, but the market of osc capable devices is growing).

and OSC is becoming an accepted standard
and OSC has a whole better resolution than MIDI
and a lot of developers (including me) are starting projects about OSC
and i'm fu**** tired of being forced to use Max/MSP to give my music complex caothic automations.

Mac OS X's Core MIDI Driver has a MIDI Network implementation, although i don't know if it's TCP or UDP based, it works awesome and it's relatively easy to configure.
