Traktor DJ and Live sync

Post by sevrien » Wed Apr 26, 2006 9:35 am

Hi,

Maybe it's a stupid question but i have some problems tot sync live to Traktor DJ (finalscratch).
I want traktor to be the tempo master, and live to be following that tempo.
I'm sending out the midi clock in traktor and i do recieve midi data in live, but when switching it into sync mode (in live), i cant do anything anymore with live, even the tepo doesnt change when pitching up in traktor.

help me please

the only thing that sends midi clock info out in Traktor is the master tempo, not the tempo on the decks or pitch shifting/bending. which version of Traktor are u using? I'm not sure if this is still the behaviour in Traktor 3, but it is in 2.

i tried this once briefly and from what i remember, you would have to send or update the master tempo to the tempo of the deck in play and that should update the tempo in Live.

you're quite right, it is indeed only the masterclock who's sending, but you can slave it to one of the decks. Primarely i just enabled the midi send in the options menu but not on the masterclock, that was the reason why it wasnt working. I was checking this in the demo version of Traktor 3, is this feature also available in version 2? and even in the cracked one?
