MotU Traveler or Focusrite Saffire 26i/o

Post by Elec » Fri Apr 28, 2006 8:49 pm

Hi Freaks,
I got a 896HD and I am really satisfied.
Now I want to buy another interface to use it on stage and on tour.
I saw Kid Beyond and know he uses a Traveler instead of his old
M-Audio Firewire 410. Why?
He said, because he was not satisfied with the drivers of the 410. But why he uses the Traveler.
Can you tell me why I have to buy the Traveler instead of the focusrite? The Traveler does only have 4 MicIns and 4LineIns, the saffire has 8MicIns/Line Ins and every other feature of the Traveler and it is roughly 200€ cheaper.
So why shall I buy the Traveler?
Thanks and admiration for ableton live creators

i'd go with the traveler rather then focusrite. i had the 1st saffire and it was just problems for me, the drivers were always in beta stage. the thing that made me give up with it was it dropped the signal during live performances. i ended up getting a motu ultralite and its been great!
