soft cell's "tainted love" sampled for rihanna's S

have you heard it ? Its not bad, they gave the track a real jumpy feel - kinda like some dance hall. Plus rihanna's earthly vessel gives my pig the riggy-mortis

heh - no you wouldnt be too far off the mark. This is strictly comparative praise. For some reason I like it much more then 99.99% of the other mainstream pop singles coming out these days.

I like it! The music is good and I love her lazy singing style. :)

personaly i also think its complete and utter cheder they sampled quite well imo but completely ruined the rest of the track and her well i think her performance is not far from wishy washy.

But it will be one of those tunes on the radio in the car that will probable infest itself upon my poor innocent taste buds. yuck

It's all right (IMHO).

But it's not actually a sample, is it? Sounds more like a recreation...

Ugh... These rnb stars just scream originality....
That genre will end when they run out of songs to mess up...
Which should be fairly soon, the way they're going at it.

I for one will be glad when sampling and regurgitation runs its course.

Then originality and talent will rise above the rest. IMO, it's already happening.

I thought Pink did that track? Or is that something different? Anyway, whatever I heard fucking sucks!! Not even a sample- just ripped off the entire track.
Don't go messing with the classics!

Everyone samples everything. I think it's healthy and pays homage to the original track. Perfect Example ... 1,2, step - Miss Elliot. She sampled Juan Atkins(Cybotron) - Clear. I loved what she did with Clear. :)

Even Soft Cell´s song is a cover from Gloria Jones 1964.
