How much better is a dual monitor display?
Is it worth another 200 quid and how does Live work with it?

It's still worth it because you can pul your VSTi's and other stuff onto the second display.subterFUSE wrote:I don't think Live supports dual displays yet.

Just asking, I'm about to buy a second LCD monitor so I want to be sure.

2 monitors is always better, I work with it since 8 years and don't want to miss it any more (with Logic in tha past). Once you are used to the doubled space, anything else doesn't make sense any more).
You _can_ strech Live's arrangement or session over 2 monitors. Moving and editing clips won't work in that mode, you'll have to restart Live after having tried that (at least on PC, havn't tried it on Mac).
I'm currently trying a setup with an old 21" CRT for session and arrange view (1600*1200) and a 17" TFT for plug-in windows(1280*1024) - quite neat so far.
Lets hope Live 6 will have real support for 2 monitors, 2 cpu's and _real_ solo in place!
