Best 303 emulator and effects combo??

Post by philtervoncutoff » Tue May 02, 2006 9:42 am

Whats the best 303 emu? I am using reFX Bassline, but can't git the sound I want. What is the best effects chain to use here?

I am trying to get some basslines that bubble and leads that really scream!

Is anyone using the Audiorealism Bassline 303 pro - looks really useful.

Thanks,

Phil.

Get the ABL + ABL Pro bundle.
Good value for killer basslines.

And there's a lot going on behind the scenes at audiorealism. It's a good investment

Here's a little demo song i did with both synths (and an operator for the pads)

Funny story ;)
On november 11th of 2004 i made a little song with some friends that used a couple of instances of ABL.
On november 11th of 2005 i made a little song with the operator and ABL Pro that had something missing...
They fitted perfectly and i needed a bloody name. So yeah... It's partially named after a little hotel on the other side of the rainbow

Seriously, after naming thousands of loops, patches, presets, projects,..... It's kinda hard naming anything.
I wouldn't be suprised if my first born was named juicemix001.kid

Maybe not what your thinking but the Roland Sh-101 analog synth (about 50,000 made versus the 10,000 TB-303's made) will blow your mind! They can be had on Ebay for about $400 and well, it's the real thing. Pure analog squelchy bliss!

As far as software, yeah, Audiorealism is nice but if you would consider hardware, look into the Sh-101 or maybe Future Retro's Revolution.

It's nice to get away from the CPU every once and a while...

its a kit, but you reap what you sow, right ?

via its cv outputs you can use it to make acid basslines with your moog, if you ever get one. Some guy over at the x0x forums has done this and it sounds realllly nice.

I always thought the first audiorealism bassline was better then the pro version. combo the first version with guitar rig 2 sounds awesome.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

I thought I was the only one with that problem ;)

Seriously - I've been fortunate to have a song picked up by my boys new label Via Musique - ok so he asks me what the name of the song is. I was like.............duh

but then I look at some events in my life and came up with this name "One Night in Rio"

It's a play on initials - this person I'd been trying to get with for 3 years finally came through and it was awesome - so I started this track that day (my birthday) and well spent the night with RIO that night <--- not exactly the persons initials but close enough ()

but it works - if you want to hear it it's up on myspace player www.myspace.com/teknolife there's a better sample up on the www.myspace.com/viamusique page

OH AND ABL KICKS BUTT!
