How does one convert a MIDI track, for instance in Session view, to an audio track, to save CPU strain? I can't find that tip anywhere and I'm just plain stuck. I know someone out there has this figured out, so let's have it!!
Thanks !!

In session view arm an empty track to record and select in the "Audio from" box (by default ext in) Midi 1 or whatever channel your midi track is in. It will record as a wav file whatever audio is coming from your midi track (softsynth VST,operator etc).
Hard to explain but easy to do

No worries
see section 12.7.2 Recording Midi as Audio
in the manual (page 161)
Help>Read the Live manual
At 378 pages it is large but worth checking out.

Or just Freeze it in place. That is what freezing is for, after all.
