Send faders on the Return tracks
Hi. Just a quick question. What are the send faders for on the return tracks? Are they only there because all other tracks have them? I use sends to group effects but can't work out why these faders are on the return tracks. What am I missing here?

You can send a return track to another, like if you want to put a bit of reverb on you chorus or something.
You can also use them to create strange cross feedback networks of effects.
Try setting upp a few reverbs and delays and cross feeding them to each other. Then start the whole thing going with eg a single drum sample on an ordinary track. Keep you output levels LOW!

It's all good and cheers...
Thanks for all your help. I actually worked this one out roughly three seconds after I sent the post. The one that had me confused was why you would send the send to itself but now I see the light! Yet another great thing that I can tell my brother and his dub loving buddies about. Cheers! I have to say after using everything from Cubase to Logic and all in between that Live is without a doubt the best Audio program out- but we all know that don't we? Oops I just read another idiot dissing Live in the forum- some people just don't see the future even when it slaps them in the face. But that's more time than they're opinion's worth.........
