I'm on your side... The Electrix Repeater (RIP) had this capability, but it was really disappointing (no way to sync on correctly and steadily). But I'm full of confidence concerning Ableton, and if they decide to implement such a nice feature, it's gonna be efficient. I'm supporting your idea, as I'm dreaming about jamming with Jazz musicians friends of mine with Live. I don't want to sync, I want to play, so please, Live, sync for me, this is a machine job, a low level task, nothing to do with music, to my mind...
