shared memory?

shared memory?

how bad is shared memory on a pc laptop? should i avoid this and get a graphics card with its own ram...will it improve the performance of my computer drastically? thanks in advance...

Depends how much RAM you have and how cpu intensive your audio is .
Basically shared memory forVideo is one of the culprits of glitchy audio sometimes ....

really? I have a 64meg shared graphics card on my laptop - works fine most of the time - is there a workaround?

try to get a laptop with dedicated video memory...
