waves-live3

Hi there,

none of the waves plugs seems to work with live 3, i tried with the waves3 in OS9, live sees the plugg but it freezes when i try to launch one. In OSX using waves4, live don't even recognize the plug (it doesn't appear in the vst folder of live).
I hope this will be fixed in the next update...

search forums here for answers--waves 4.something-or-other work in Live 3, but not previous version of either. The free ffx-4 vsteffect plugin can get you Waves inside Live (and version of either) for free, but is limited in that you have to save (and re-save after any changes) your ffx-4 effects "rack" (and the Waves plugs and settings contained within) independantly of Live. If you don't save them, then you lose the settings. Either way, I think you have to re-load the "rack" each time you re-open that Live set--the ffx4 is still a vst effect wherever it was the last time you used the set, but you have to refresh it by re-loading the "rack". Its a bit of a workaround, but easier to me than rewiring or dumping it into sonar,etc...

yeah its weird..

..

in wavelab 4..

they are under DirectX... not vst.

and they won't open in live.. ;
