the correct bcedit java files

Post by Matrigs » Sun May 07, 2006 10:20 pm

i tried everything, read every topic and tried every solution but i finally found this thing for myself... took me 3 days but it's worth it.

http://java.sun.com/products/archive/index.html

in the section " J2SDK/J2RE - 1.4" choose 1.4.2_05

download

uninstall EVERY single "java" thing you have on your platform

install

be a lucky owner of your bcr/bcf

Version 1.4.2_11 works perfectly for me.

Make sure you download the JRE (runtime environment) and not the SDK (development kit).

This is about the version of Java required to use the Behringer B-EDIT program. Only version 1.4.2_11 and earlier work as of right now. The B-EDIT software is for users of the BCR2000 or BCF2000 controllers.

apropos: it is possible that the 11 version works too - but i had downloaded it and it didn't work for me.

there are a few more people i found in different topics that couldn't get rid of it so the 05 version might solve their problem too !
