Looking for a follow God(ess)

hi
so here is what i want to do, and maybe someone who is knowlegable about follow actions could help me.
In a performance, I want to record several different speaking voices live, one for each track. then i would duplciate the clip and use different sections of the take for each new clip. I want then for the clips to cycle around through the track,on their own, presumably with follow actions. this way i can avoid the repetive nature of hearing the same bits over and over, while i keep editing and adding new voices. now here is the tough thing. i want to record live and start these cycles as quicly as possible.
is there a way to program scenes for follow actions?

or barring that, is there a way for me to create "pre-made"follow actions? in other words, can i somehow have a clip with it's follow actions pre-made, and then record the audio into this clip? this way i won't have to 1)record 2) edit and 3) program all the folllows. i can do the first two fast , but the third would take too long.
i know it's weird but....anyone? anything?

Here's one way to approach it...

1. Assign MIDI notes to scenes in your set (eg C3, D3, E3 on MIDI channel 1)- then either drag in new audio clips that you're recording or record the audio in those scenes as you described

2. have a MIDI track that has clips that play the notes you assigned to the scenes (C3, D3, E3). Set up follow actions on these midi clips. Make sure these clips are not in the scenes you're triggering and that you remove the stop button from this track on the triggered scenes.

3. send the MIDI out from the MIDI track out of Live (using MIDI YOKE or LOOPBE) and back in again (via the global MIDI preferences) so you have the MIDI clips trigger the audio clips that live in the slots

I don't think you can have "pre made" follow actions unfortunately. You will just have to practice until you are lightning quick setting them up on the fly...

Or use some variation of the midi method described above.
