Microphone Help

Post by dmas722 » Tue May 09, 2006 3:37 pm

I just got a M-Audio Moblepre USB and a Studio Projects B1 microphone. I installed the M-Audio software, plugged it in to the USB, plugged in the microphone, activated the phantom power, and turned the mic on and I'm getting nothing. does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Launch Ableton. Check the preferences in Live. Make sure you have selected the Mobilepre as Live's audio input and output.

Arm an audio track. Select the external input for that track to be input 1. Select monitor in on that track. Put your headphones on. Check check check.

It doesn't hurt to go to the M-Audio website and download the latest drivers.

Are your headphones plugged into the Mobilepre, and not into the computer?

What are your system specs?

yes, the headphones are in the MobilePre. The Track volume slider shows that its getting the sound I'm making when I test it, but I don't hear anything and if I try to record no waveforms are made.
I use a Dell Dimension 4600i with Windows XP
