ok so i decided to venture into playing with audio effects
load up 5 channels of effects pre bundled with live and it all starts distorting heavily.
any ideas?

some effects can distort easily. keep an eye on the levels at each effect. there are little meter displays at the input and output of each one. trim the volume as needed

ok thanks is it a concern that CPU useage was upto 82% at some points?

ok any ideas as to why?
I recently erased my mac, reinstalled the os (10.4.6) and left it at that.

well, i just mean that people are often complaining of glitches at much lower cpu levels than that. i'd say you've got to find some ways to get the cpu usage down. running with usage around 80's going to be a problem i think
