thats a real shame, i love live to bits but sometimes it falls short of being a true professional sequencer... ive come up with a temporary solution: by copying the midi file of my drum track onto say my synth track i can then use the timings of each drum hit to play a note on the synth, of course you can move the note up and down in pitch and stretch it out

Nope. If you want it, post your request on the following feature request threads...drewdrops wrote:Wishing to use groove quantize in Ableton but coulden't find how to anywhere. I know in Cubase/Logic your able to but what about Ableton?

just throwing a possibly weird idea out there. if you've got two audio files of the EXACT same length, then you can warp one and replace the sample with the other audio file. this is how you warp multi-tracked groups of audio files.
maybe it's possible to use this technique to accomplish something like groove quantizing? if you can get identical clip lengths, and use the warp settings of the 'groove' defining clip, but replace the sample with the new sample
???
