First LIVE DJ Set With The Ableton ARCADE Machine!!!!
Well i've just finished building the next level Ableton Machine, the "ABLETONATOR".
It contains a custom midi/keyboard controller, rackmount server, 17" lcd screen and a few flashie lights! All housed inside a old quiz/fruit machine.
As for the Set it all went really well despite being on a thursday night so not too busy, didn't have much time to prepare a proper set so just stuck to a bit of Live DJing, but for future events i will be making it all live!!
Check dont stay in for pics

Hi
well at the mo i have it setup for live djing, with 4 channels an a aux channel for fx, delay reverb etc.
channels 1 + 2 are the mains that are also assigned to the cross fader, with channels 3 + 4 as loops, one hits, or a vst instrument controlled by a pull out keyboard (not in pics).
the pots on the channels are set as 1st pot = aux send, 2nd pot = beat repeat division, or bit crusher, 3rd an 4th pot = 2 band BLT eq. with the beat repeat, its assigned to a push switch to toggle on/off as needed.
also there are 3 fx pots on the master assigned to suppertrigga division, buffer amount, an quadfromage level. again these are assigned to switches.
then i have a few more fxs just on the master, on toggle switches.
the joystick is the arrows keys remapped, to use as a selector for clips. an i have push switches for nudge fwd an back, loop on/off, loop start an loop stop. also alt an shift mapped to switches just incase a need to get back to the main window (alt + joystick), oh an f12 for clip/fx toggle. also shift + f12 is really handy, show/hide clip window.
as for the transit of the machine, its fine with little protection, just cardboard over the screen when strapping it in the van. i used to work for a fruit machine company an this is how we used to do the deliverys, with very little probs (an they had glass fronts!!)
hence where the machine originates.
i'm by no means a live master (yet), so still working on wot i need to get from it, with the limits of the machine, so any help/comments greatly received.
