master solo button pleeeeeeese
master solo button pleeeeeeese
can't belive it's not already possible, or am i just missing it - i just want to be able to solo tracks one by one to break the track down, then bring them all back in at once - i know you can do it using pre-listen, but that's not ideal, I would prefer to have them seperate - just a button to take them all off....come on you you you wwant to

just to clarify, the reason it's not ideal is because if you then press the solo'prelisten button again to take it back to solo mode, the soloed tracks you had before come back again, which is obviously not ideal in a live context, but also when writing you want to be able to go back to the full mix quickly, and if you have four or five tracks soled - considering you have to solo the sends as well to hear them with fx, then you have to scroll through etc.sixela wrote: - i know you can do it using pre-listen, but that's not ideal,

could do, not bad idea, but that would be mainly of use live, Live is so much more than that I use it to produce my tunes and solo is something i use alot - the main reason it bugs me is that you have to solo the send channels as well, so if you end up with 4 sends, and 3 tracks soloed, then it means you have to unsolo them one by one, it's a very cool thing cubase SX does that is very, very handy, and it can be done alot more spontaneously - you can find your self soloing tracks and building it that way and then trying new combinations, if you just use scenes you would have to copy them all onto the scenes first, it's just one more thing to have to do, but it's a good workaround

limited to 10 tracks that way....sixela wrote:this might be obvious, but I just assigned the solo buttons to qwertyuio on the keyboard and am finding this is a fine way of doing what i suggested - now if only you'd stuck useful stickers like numbers/notes etc to use on the keyboards and controllers in the box...
