thanks!

Do you mean the Rhodes in "White and Grey..."? That's lounge lizard used in a couple of strange ways: the bass (the more evident), and the melody part where I exploited the warm sound of ep but dramaticaly changed release and sustain times.

I listened to Vento, which I liked a lot,
One part I didn't like was the string synth noise which was too standard, especially in contrast with some of the other stuff which is more inventive, it sounded like the first preset on an old polysynth.
As this sound is functionally used more as a lead melody line than a pad I would go for something a little different, it doesn't evolve harmonically enough to convince in the role. I mean in the way a lead player of say a clarinet or oboe would pull different moods / tonalities out of their instrument for this part.

Thanx for your comment!

You mean the Solina-like sound? In a way I wanted it to be a "cheap" vintage sound with a slow part... I liked the feeling of... tedium (!) it gives, but I'll check it out!

It's always a pleasure to get a sensible criticism from like minded people! :)

perhaps you should cheapen it more in that case, make it sound distressed and put it in a space. perhaps really play it through a small amp (like a pignose with a torn cone and half dead capacitors) and mic it from across the room

I am suddenly put in mind of some sounds "Suicide" might use (Alan Vega and Martin Rev), specifically the first album.

I'm not sure how many people know them though.
