Hi, for a live set I need to recorder a sample into Live and after that playback it…like Kid Beyond in its video.
I have a Korg microKontrol control surface, an Mbox2 as audio input and I play a guitar.
Any idea on how can I do to automate the start-stop recording and, after that, start-playback recorded sample?
Thanks in advance
Roberto

Thanks!!!
I’ll try this trick, I have found this alternative method...you can use midiStroke a useful free utility to translate midi message into as many keystrokes as you like, for example you can push a button on the control surface to select all, copy, start-stop, record, etc.
So we must assign a key to one elements of the Live interface, go into midiStroke and assign the same key to a midi message (eg. CC#45 = 127) and then assign the midi message to a pad of the control surface.
That’s all!!!
Bye

i may be misunderstanding you, but stopping recording of a clip and immediately starting playback of that clip is simply a re-press of the same clip slot button. no need for keystroke emulation or any of that.
