sound quality sucks

why does ableton sound so shit ??????????

why do my wav/mp3 320kbs sound awsome when burned to cd or played through media player but sound shit like there is a blanket over my speakers when played through ableton

I dont get it why cant ableton play like media player , the sound quality is just crap.

or use repitch if the set bpm is not going to stray to far from the original bpm

complex warp is the last resort on full tracks ,it's not too bad on most commercial recordings but for djing repitch is the way to go

to be honest with you guys,i think my stuff sounds better in logic.that is with the warp off.i hope the sound quality with warp on is jast a little bit better in ver.6 though

1. if you are not stretching more than around 7-10 bpm either way complex mode does a decent job. you can beat match all day with that.

2.if you put the clip in re-pitch mode, tis just like a turntable. you can beat match all day with that too.

3.if there is a blanket over your speakers then something is wrong. fix it.

4.there are in fact, various settings(!) in each of the different clip modes. sometimes your track will require(!) you to experiment with teh settings to improve the sound.

5."and that is the folly of man" is a allusion to the fact that it indeed sounds better with warp turned off, yet you cant really use the program to beatmatch whilst it is so. irony, in a sense.

please check out some of these options and see if it improves both your quality of sound, and your quality of life.
