Any Live users in the Manchester area?

I'm wanting to start an ableton based night in Manchester and want others to help promote/run it and obviously invite users to come down and play. If your interested come let me know. Of course any one willing to travel to Manchester from surrounding areas are also more than welcome.

Throw any ideas you may have into the mixing pot and help develop a unique night. Allstyles of music welcome.

We could also try and hook up a monthly meeting where we could all get together and discuss techniques and learn from each other, with a few beers thrown in as well!

Good to see so many from the great city on this forum.

So, any ideas for what I mentioned in the post?

sounds good Robin, I'l try and make it down friday. What beats you into bro?
I used to promote Airtight at Sankey's with Ian Taylor, dunno if you ever went?
I'm mainly into breaks, tech house, that kinda stuff.

Would be interesting to hook up and see what your doing. Maybe Friday at Simple or somewhere around the northern quarter?

peace mate

I'm based in Cheshire, as are a couple of the other admins from ALDJ. If you do put something together, then please let us know.

Cheers.

LOL Joshu@

Didn't even realise there was another Manchester, that pic you posted made me laugh, never mind mate, so long as you have ableton keepin you occupied. I bet cow tipping is popular round your way

I'll definitely check your show Klarky, I'm a big breakbeat head myself!

Good to hear your near Manchester, UK, Mr Soprano, the ableton live dj site is cool.

I'm definitely hooking up a gig in the next few weeks, prob end of June, so you, Klarky and your mates will have to come down and play. Just let me know what beats float your boat.

I think an ableton based night would be cool, and seeing as there are a few of us dotted around it would be well worth the effort. Would you be interested in helping to promote/run the night with me as well?

Also, I reckon if we tried to hook up an evening of workshops, that we be beneficial for us all and would also strengthen the whole North West ableton crew. Let me know what your thoughts are. Maybe you already do something similar in chesire, and if thats the case I would love to attend if thats possible. My girlfriends family live in Congleton if thats anywhere close to where you are Tony?

peace,

Adrian
