New Track Breakbeat Korg MS20 Real or Digital

Post by dbolt » Thu May 25, 2006 5:12 pm

Can you tell if the bass line was used by the real thing or the software version of the Korg MS20 :?:

Also used for the lead melodic line DX200 Yamaha. Drums were from the Korg EMX 1 and the other synth parts were used by a Korg Microsynth sent through Digitech Whammy pedal and Marshall Bluesbreaker also a Vox
Modified Wah pedal with the Red phasel.

I mean this track has alot punch being that its compressed to 128 MP3.

I'm not sure which song you are asking about and I probably wolud not be able to tell the difference anyway but I like the tracks. Buy it Now is great. Just the kind of track that I have been into lately. Freestyle breakbeat freakout action.

Thanks for listening! I forgot to mention the new track its the one you mentioned "Buy it now"

Breakbeats are fun to play I just need to get better and add more texture to my tracks I keepum simple, but will have more to come.

Thanks again for listening. Also thanks for the Myspace Add. Im listening to 1st track now sounds good so far nice chillout ambience grooves, I dig it.

Hey Spackled Bat

Im listening to Media Talent Show very good track nice and short to the point nice pads and acid leads and I must ask it soundz like Stylus RMX is used on the drumz. SOrry to notice I use Stylus as well. I can hear some of the Chaos features. If I'm wrong that sound is so simlar.

dbolt, Thanks a lot for the feedback.

For the breakbeat on Media Talent Show I made about 8 or 10 different clip variations of it using the sample offset. I set up the arrangement just playing the different clips and then moving them around in arrangement mode. I used the beat repeat effect and drew some envelopes for even more variations and that's about it.

Beat Repeat is a cool effect but I can already see how it could be easily overused. Thanks again for the comments.

Beat Repeat is a very kool effects much like the supatrigga which is basically the same effect used in Stylus RMX's Chaos. Actually the same guy that made the Supatrigga designed Chaos. Crazy that whole broken beat genre is getting popular among other musicans but many people that I let listen to that sound doesnt really know what to think. I live in mid to south GA so that's also why. Want to move into Atlanta here soon where more artistic and broader music is being played
