trouble syncing Live with Logic

My friend and I tried to sync my Macbook Pro running Live 5.2 with his G5 running Logic.

We used Live as the master clock.

Things would kind of sync up when playing, but when I would manipulate Live on my macbook (triggering loops, moving faders) the two would lose sync and the tempo would go all funny.

I also rewire reason through live, and I could do anything with reason (create/edit instruments, etc) and it would not affect the tempo.

Has anyone had this problem?
Do you have a setup like this that works?

We used Live as the master clock.

try with logic as master MIDI clock. Live MIDI clock and some MIDI note out stuff is unreliable in v5. I get weird timing errors all the time, so i tend to work the other way round...

I'm not concerned with any note information going from Live to Logic, just the midi clock.

The machine running Live only has a midi OUT so I can't use it slaved to Logic
