Live 5/Nord G2 bank change problem.

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone managed to get Live 5 to change to any other bank than 1 on a nord G2?

Live seems to send the bank LSB before the MSB, while the G2 sends the MSB before the LSB. I think this may be the problem.

Is there a workaround of some type?

Any help would be really apreciated as I am sick of setting it manually all the time..

If live gave you direct access to the MIDI controllers for bank selection (32), then maybe, but it doens't.

I suspect that this is exactly the same problem that makes live unable to properly select the bank on a nord lead 3 that I reported here and to Ableton a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get a response, and last week prodding got me a 'NAMM is coming up, we are very busy, come back later'.

This basically comes down to a fault in LIve where it *always* sends bank and subbank selection messages even if you have select 'None' from the dialog. If you select 'None' it's exactly the smae as selecting '1' (which sends 0)

I'll email Ableton again.

Oops, to clarify. Clavia said we are very busy with NAMM, and Ableton said 'We're discussing it".

Any update about this?
I've just installed live 5.2 but the problem is still here!
Live can't recall any programs in other banks than the first.

I have put another support call in, maybe we can have it for version 6.

Ableton support have got back to me.

As far as they are concerned it is a Clavia problem and there will be no fix for Live.
