Hi everyone,
i just upgraded my PC to a P4 Duo 3Ghz intel chip with 3GB of RAM (with an ASUS motherboard), XP Pro, SP2 - and Live runs worse than my Toshiba P4 3.33Gz 1.5RAM laptop running XP Home!!! granted, my arrangement is quite a heavy load (30 tracks, half VST instruments & half audio, with lots of effects, and over 9 minutes long), but still i was definitely NOT expecting this desktop exhibiting slower performance than my laptop. I know that in the PC world there are a lot of things that affect the performance of a computer. I've done the general tweaks, stopped a bunch of services.
does anyone run Live on duo core PCs? any help would be greatly appreciated.
