Live Asio Not working on P4 3ghz Machine (Hyperthreading?)

Audio is breaking up with Asio drivers. The setup is a P4 on an intel D865perl board. Could it be that Live doedn't support hyperthreading? Asio works fine with SX,Reason etc but there also seems to be a problem with rewire. I'd love to hear from anyone running a similer system, Ta , Damo.
