ableton live audio recording question

hi everyone, i'm a newb and i wanted to know how i can fix a problem I'm encountering in recording audio (vocals) into live. what happens is that the vocals i record, are shifted earlier in time. what i mean by this is that while i actually am on beat during the recording of the performance, during playback, the entire track seems like it is shifted maybe 300 ms earlier. i did a test to figure out if i was just rushing my notes or if there is actually a problem. i made clicking noises to the snare of my drumloop and i was pretty much on time but when i played it back, i was considerably off-beat and early each time. i don't know how to fix this, but am sure someone knows the solution to this question. thank you!!!
