[ot] myspace friend adder program?

Post by snowtires » Wed Jun 07, 2006 2:00 pm

has anyone used one of these before? my band is going nuts trying to add 500 people per day (myspace's limit), by hand. we're a little nervous that using something like this would get us kicked off of myspace or something, but i kiiiiind of don't care at this point.

What possible reason would you want to do that for?

Yeah my friend's band got deleted and then sucessively deleted each time they signed up after that, whereas some other dudes I know use it all the time and are still going strong. Hit and miss it seems like, but is it worth it? You should get something that sends out mass e-mails maybe? That have an "add" link in them?

Sorry, my question wasn't very clear. Why would you want to be on myspace in the first place at all?

And if for some reason you do want to be, what
s the point in having hundreds of nonexistent "friends"? Why wouldn't anyone think: "oh; they've got 20,000 friends, they must have a program that automatically adds friends?"

Myspace = the CB radio of 2005.

yeah, it seems to be pretty influential actually - I cant believe how many people have them - it has got me in touch with people I havent caught up with in a while

and snowtires: personally I think it should get them kicked off because it's a stupid annoying idea - how is that any different to the dickheads who send out the viagra spam which is pissing me off every single day?

do you honestly think that will help in promoting your band? I mean maybe it will get you some page hits, but it's pretty annoying and totally defeats the purpose of it - nobody will be fooled

personally I much prefer sites that only have a page or 2 of friends because I can actually check them out and you know they are more likely to be genuine - your way makes it impossible to network with it because no one sees your mutual contacts
