i love how ESPN classic will be showing the games later on that were live. however on the bottom of the screen the tracker comes on and shows you scores from other games which ISN"T COOL!
anyways, tomorrow should be an exciting day.

maybe they were just picking the for sure teams since a second seed is hard to predict for each group.

GROUP E <--- hardest group to predict IMO. My bet is on Italy and Czech Rep.
Czech Republic
Italy
United States
Ghana
GROUP F
Brazil
Croatia
Japan
Australia
GROUP G
France
Switzerland
Korea Republic
Togo
GROUP H
Tunisia
Spain
Ukraine
Saudi Arabia
After the 1st games, I'd think Ecuador is moving on instead of Poland. I thought Poland was bringing a better team.

Disapointing first showing by Sweden...
Trinidad & Tabago showed up (at least their keeper did) though on defense.
So far, England really has impressed me with strong defense. Of course Trinidad was the most impressive team by holding Sweden scoreless but in terms of contenders, England out of the gate looks strong.

I was impressed by T&T.
but, disapointed with England's performance, losing posession under little pressure, reverting to a long ball game and compressing into their own half. That combined with the usual baffling substitutions, owen off and crouch as a 1-up striker was tactically dumb.
I'm hoping that the England team take this as a wake-up call. They can play much better than that. Yes, I know we won - but the manner of the win showed too many cracks in tactics and teamwork
Paraguay were a better team than I thought, but we gave them way too much encouragement. The referee gave them way, way, way too much encouragement!

Yeah, England's defense really didn't crack at all though. Tough defense that was rarely challenged. I wouldn't worry if I were you; not yet at least. Sweden will have a lot to prove after such a disapointing first game, but it should be a breeze into the second group.
