GOOD GIGGING BACKPACKS?

backpacks that are a decent size/design to fit a 12' powerbook, a evolution controller and a few other bits and bobs....


suggestions?

+1 for jansport.
did lots of travelling with mine.

also, using a backpack is a very good idea. you are not as much of a mark as you are with a traditional laptop bag. but in some areas, even a backpack is worth robbing.

I have an M-Audio. Ballisic nylon, quite robust, and with lots of pockets. I think it's the best product made by the crap makers of MA - ya know, plastic is their thing.

a 12 inch powerbook and evolution will fit into just about anything.
but i just got a swiss army bag at office max, it's great!!!
big, lots of pockets.

Tom Bihn - excellent construction, svelt looks, and the added benefit of ultra hard core protection for yer PB (w/the purchase of the insert).

i own the smart alec w/ monolith. incredible piece of work.

I got a volt xl with a laptop sleeve. Laptop goes in nice padded sleve/ sleeve drops inyo heavy duty plastic encasement. SNUG. 17 inch pbook but the bag does not look like a laptop bag. I can also fit my evolution mk 225 (?) in there... fairly snug but the keyboards pretty chunky. works for me[/url]

a lessesr known brand, but make quality and rugged gear

i especially love the laptop compartment...i have a similar gravis bag and fit can fit necessary cables, my evolution uc33, powerbook, ext harddrive and a lil more into it and it's many compartments and pockets...
