its not often I be peepin eMpTyV, but today was one of those days...
anyways it was busta rhymes new track, not sure what its called but he says 'get low <cameo artist's name>' and they sing in hushed tones for a bit....know the track ?

anyways, like alot of the hip hop videos on mtv, there's loads of 'club scenes' with these hip-hop hunnies girating their asses, bouncing their titties up & down in sync with their arses.

I was wondering if any of that actually goes on in the USA? in hip hop type clubs maybe ? I knew for a long time it was just for the videos etc, you know the trappings of success must be beautiful women diamonds cars etc.......but anyways, after years of this I'm wondering has life started to imitate art any ? I know the dance hall gigs in jamaica are pretty raunchy, literally dry-fucking on the dancefloor...heh, but I'm wondering whats going on in the states ? cos mtv is literally flooded with all these hip-hop videos I'm just wondering if any of these 'club scenes' are reflecting the truth or not....

That's like my apartment everyday.

But in regards to the "women in the US are objects", I have to say that I always felt some european nations were much more chauvenistic and sexist. Every girl I traveled with to Italy, Spain, or Greece just got mauled by greasy womanizers. I had never seen such lack of class.

America has its vices, but it's not alone in that one nor is it the worst by any measure. I blame advertisers and network executives.

well....thats the way it is in spain/barcelona, italy, greece - mediteranian as opposed to european.

in the eu the only ties each country has to the next is economic -mostly-
culturaly we are vastly different, its not like the states of america or anything.

its fair enough to pidgeon-hole all the countries together when talking about economics perhaps, but when it comes to culture its a bit off the mark to go 'european' this or that, cos the differences are enormous for the most part.

I lived in barcelona for 6 months, so I know what you say about spain is completely true.

however, the chicks were classy....despite the greaseballs

yes it does happen, but i think they are imitating what they see on these videos, like a case of life imitating art(???!) and not vice versa.

there are so many lost hoochie mamas here buying/feeding into the crap hip hop bullshit, guys too for that matter, but it's more pathetic in the females' case as they are looked upon as objects who follow behind their male counterparts, not having a single thought in their mind or a word coming from their lips that they can truly call their own.

I think it has alot to do with the controlling governance in american society being conservative, yet liberal. I mean, you could be conservative, say in the middle east, but you won't see woman shaking they're ass half naked in public there... lest they get they're shit chopped off, or worse. But when you're conservative controlling a liberal society, the popular thing to do, is rebel. Rebel without a pause, clue, clause, cause.. you name it. Rebel just to rebel.

It's like prohibition, doesn't work. Because the society is liberal, they'll tolerate it, while right-wingers and bible-beaters will say, "Oh my g-d, what have we come to? Something needs to be done." But, they're problem is, they're not the majority, they're just in control.

Then, you have corporatism. I mean, these guys are making soooooo much money on selling this crap to kids, and the public in general. All the athletes are peddling it, so everyone wants to be a part of it. The society is rich.. they're fat, lazy, and bored. What else is there to do, besides go to a club, slap some bitch on the ass, get sucked off in the VIP, and go out for some mo.... mo booze, mo bitches, mo money, mo mo mo... sho nuff

i mixed monitors at a latin american festival on sunday...
there was a rap act where one guy came out holding an infant in one arm
and began slapping the crowd-facing bouncing ass of an 18-year-old dancer...
he then proceeded to sit the baby on the bouncing ass, slapping it again.
so, yes, people are that fucking ignorant in america.

Dude, i guy i knew ( i hate saying that about this person ) used to make all sorts of sexual inuendos, and movements in front of his 5 yr old. Man, i stopped talking to him. At one point, i was invited over to his house, and while his gf was sitting on the couch, he pulled his gf's head toward his crotch, pretending to smack her while she was "giving him head"... all in front of guests (myself and our BOSS) and his child... fuckin a... that's America for you.

I don't think it is just in America that dudes in clubs (or on the streets) treat women like sex objects--been to italy, greece, or spain? Anyhow, kids are choosing to act like this and emulate whoever. I don't think it is fair to blame the government, society, the record lables, capitalism, or consumerism--I think that it the fault of the kids for wanting to emulate this crap, and the fault of parents to just turn a blind eye to what an ass their kid is making of themselves. Hopefully most people grow out of this phase at some point and become productive members of society.

and yet in these mediteranian places, where the guys are absolute sleaze - the chicks are 100x more classy then the hoes on these videos, and some people seem to believe these videos are reflecting the truth (which is in fact reflecting the art) of what its like in these club environments in the US.

yes, the general street cretins in spain/barcelona italy greece turkey are all adonis-esque sleazeballs, (in that they're just being 'honest' about how they feel

but at least the women know how NOT to act in the club (i.e a cheap tramp)

there are hoes and for lack of a better word "sluts" in any and every western society/country. Sure, there are some in america, but there are some whatever country you are coming from. The percentage of young ladies overall that act like that here is minimal, well under 10% overall, probably like 2-4%. Anyhow, the overall % is different than the club-going %. Many club scenes here (and abroad) are basically meat markets--single people with loose morals (or cheating people that are involved) go there to "hook up" plain and simple. Sure, some go there with friends or even significant others, but most go to hook up. People that go out to hook up with someone they've never met at a smoking nasty club with loud crappy music are generally going to be the "slut" types by definition.

I saw some vh1 special about hip hop video girls--they get paid to be in the videos and a lot of them are aspiring models that have to take these crappy gigs, and apparently a lot of the rappers feel like they have a right to get action from them. Anyways, bottom line is rap videos are a total farce--9 out of 10 times all the hoes, cars, and bling are rented out for the day to make the video. If you really think these are representative of our society in general, or even the club scene you've been mislead. And it you think the dudes have no role in creating these skanky stereotypes that young kids emulate, you are wrong.

Go out to any club in Miami, or NY, LA, etc... I think you'll disagree. Hmmm.. I've been to all types of clubs, and i'll honestly say that i've never seen that level of debauchery in any european club i've been to. Ever see "In the VIP"... man, i've seen that kind of stuff in AnyNightClub.USA, but not once have i seen that in Amsterdam, London, etc.. I went to the Edge, people shaggin left and right.. after the Edge closed down (Firestone), same thing.. Crobar NY, Miami, seen it. Chili Pepper, Ft. Lauderdale.. i saw a girl bent over the bar being eaten from behind with a crowd standing around her... that was only one of the time that i was there, and that was 8 years ago. How many times have you gone to a club and it was Booty Night? Every girl wants to get up there, and almost every one either isn't wearing underwear, or moves it to the side for your enjoyment.. What about wet T-Shirt Contests where they're wearing floss by the end of their strip (and pulling to the side) and this isn't even at clubs but a podunk bars...

I'm not trying to bash here, but i think you're either sheltered or just not observant to these types of things..
