argentina was just insane today, fucking insane.

i dont want them to win but i applaud their achievement.

anyways, i recommend anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled not come in here at all. its tough knowing who is at what time zone.....

just come in after the re-run, or if u just dont care.

USA - Italy
It's pathetic the ref had such an impact. Looked like the US team watched some WC footage and stepped it up to world cup level soccer, good to see them get physical and relaxed with the ball. They still haven't put a ball in the goal though. McBride handled it all well, he really came out strong after the injury.

France - Korea half time
Note to the Korean keeper, don't play goalie while standing INSIDE the goal, what a dumbass. I haven't seen that move since I was playing as a 6 year old, our keeper walked into the goal carrying the ball thinking he was safer in there to kick.

South Korea 1 France 1...

Yikes, the French have to feel demoralized after this match. With Switzerland playing a disfunctional Toga team tomorrow, Switzerland can bet on 3 points and second place.

The problem for the French is that they will be playing their third game without Zinedine Zidane after he was got his second yellow card...

i hope france doesn't make it through.

as for the usa vs italy game

i think the u.s could have won that game if the ref didn't put the team down to 9 players.

brazil is getting better, ronaldo seems like he just needs to score a goal to come out of his sluggish slump.

robinho though looked good, maybe he should start during the second round.

England will loose like always (unless there will be again KGB on the field), most Germans have too short hair to be pulled around and wont take shit like that anyway since they dont have any colonial complexes to tolerate rude behaviour of white Massa. It went easy on the T&T but they better dont even try it with Italians whos elbows are becoming legendary.
Strange that English dont apply to themselves "fair play" rules which they supposedly invented.

It did seem like the officals had it out against the US, but I didn't get the feeling that the US was a real threat to win that game.

We lacked a confident and competitive attack at the goal. Every shot taken was easily scooped up by the Italian goalie. And let's not forget who scored our one and only point...

Well, we made it 10 pages before an international war broke out...

Everybody should pat themselves on the back and smile and be proud.

This was an amazing run and totally unexpected that this thread could have gotten as far as it had before we started calling out each other's countries or making monkey noises at each other, or Polish jokes, or various other cultural jokes and stereotypes...

Now it's time to duck and cover I'm afraid... :(
