What are your favorite and easy on the CPU VSTi's ???

Post by jho » Fri Dec 05, 2003 6:27 pm

What are you folks that are rewiring with Bidule into Live enjoying? I've found thus far that Absynth2 is useless in a live situation because it's such a CPU hog. FM7 works like a charm. I've just ordered Battery....

Any others I should be looking at (Besides Reason) ? What do you folks like?

Thanks for the friendly responses!!! 8)

I'd have to say that I love playing Green Oak Crystal into Live, though some of its patches can be pretty heavy on the CPU.

Still, with the ability to use Soundfonts as oscillators, you certainly won't lack for a full palette of sounds with Crystal. :-)

Also, my fave free organ: Rumpelrausch Taips ZR-1.

Well, I think this proprietary format (VST) is still to come. I am quite happy the u-he supports open standards on MacOSX!

That's cool; I want to rewire into Live using Bidule, so I'll have to wait. Keep the suggestions coming, it's a VSTi bonanza!! :D
